Another uncontrolled study asked eight adults to listen to a binaural beat CD with delta (1 to 4 Hz) beat frequencies for 60 days straight. The participants filled out surveys before and after the 60-day period that asked questions about their mood and quality of life. The results of the study found that listening to binaural beats for 60 days significantly reduced anxiety and increased the overall quality of life of these participants. Since the study was small, uncontrolled, and relied on patient surveys to collect data, larger studies will be needed to confirm these effects.
Not only do certain brain wave rhythms get strengthened as a result of entrainment, but a dominant frequency band results in a different state of awareness. Those that have used a quality brainwave entrainment product can vouch for the fact that their perception is altered by their brain waves. Not only could this be due to brainwave changes, but it may be a result of increased interhemispheric communication.
Meditation enhancement: There are several companies that sell brainwave entrainment sessions specifically designed to enhance meditation. The sounds provide a stimuli to focus on during the meditation, and the brain waves naturally shift towards the frequency provided. Whether meditation is actually enhanced by brainwave entrainment is a subject of debate. However, advanced meditators commonly experience brainwave synchronization – which the right and left hemispheres display the same frequency brain waves.  While there are scientific benefits of meditation, it is unclear as to whether they are enhanced, hindered, or unaffected by adjunctive brainwave entrainment.

Popular stress relief “solutions” we often turn to may offer a temporary reprieve, but actually make our situation worse in the long run. Alcohol puts additional physical stress on the liver and brain; mindless forms of entertainment like TV deaden our mental focus which is vital to handling stressful situations; and prescription drugs targeting stress and anxiety usually have side-effects far worse than the symptoms they’re treating!
However, unlike our own brains, which last a lifetime, these mini-brains are relatively short-lived. The human brain has the advantage of a circulatory system, allowing it  to  survive and function. By supplying brain organoids with a special cocktail of factors, they can grow in a dish, develop and survive, but  only to a limited degree. But, by transplanting brain organoids into the brains of living mice, one group of scientists has shown that artificially grown organoids have the potential to resemble a real human brain even more closely when they  are sustained by a living blood supply.

Proceedings of the 9th Conference on Interdisciplinary Musicology – CIM14. Berlin, Germany 2014 nature (birds and wind) while the second group listened to theta binaural  sound  waves.  Both  groups  listened  to  the  stimulus through headphones.  During  the  experiment, participants  were monitored with  the  Neurosky Mindwave  Interface, which  was connected through Processing to a Max Patch that saved all  the data in a  ‘.csv’  file.  Before  the stimulus, a baseline  EEG  took place and the participants answered the “Trait” part of the STAI test and a pre-experiment “State” version of the test. After the experiment,  participants  answered  a  post-experiment  “State” STAI  and  a  post-experiment  EEG  also  took  place. RESULT ANALYSIS Samples  were analyzed  every three  seconds.  They were  later statistically distributed  according to the T-student test in  order to find differences between both groups.  For this experiment, the significant p value was p<0.05, this means that the probability is less than 5%  T-student detailed analysis: •  The  meditation  value  is  similar  in  both  groups,  (see  graph A1.3). T-student  function shows less significant  points for this parameter.  This means  both stimuli  induced relaxation  to  the participants.  • Theta values are  higher  in  the control group, especially after second  510  (see  graph  A1.5)  almost  at  the  middle  of  the stimulus.  •  STAI  “State” post-experiment  results  from the  experimental group  are  higher  than  the  control.  Therefore,  theta  binaural frequencies were  more effective as an  anxiolytic stimulus. (see graphs A1.1 and A1.2) • Delta  values  are higher after second  285 in  the control  group (see  graph  A1.10).  This  indicates  deep  sleep  and  losing  of consciousness  over  the  body  (unconscious  relaxation).  It  is highly possible that the participant fell asleep or got  to the first stages of sleep.   • There is a significant difference in delta between experimental and  control  groups  after  second  870  (post-stimulus). If you're already a carb lover, it's likely that nothing can come between you and a doughnut when stress hits. First rule of thumb: Don't completely deny the craving. According to MIT research, carbohydrates can help the brain make serotonin, the same substance regulated by antidepressants. But instead of reaching for that sugary bear claw, go for complex carbs. "Stress can cause your blood sugar to rise, Mangieri says, "so a complex carb like oatmeal won't contribute to your already potential spike in blood glucose."
So if you are interested in using brainwave entrainment music in your own recording, do so with the knowledge that it can only help to improve the quality of your work. But please don’t feel as though your recordings will be insufficient without it (some people do worry about this - unnecessarily). My advice is that if you ever find yourself in a situation where the music you love the most is not available with brainwave entrainment frequencies, don’t ignore your intuition and discard that music. When you find that piece of music that brings your recording to life, go with it whether it has brainwave entrainment frequencies or not. The quality and feel of the music itself are the most important factors.
Today, EEG machines are used for diagnosing epilepsy and sleep disorders, for determining dosages for anesthesia, and measuring the brain activity of people in comas or suffering from brain trauma. EEG machines also continue to play a role in researching and understanding brainwave entrainment and developing new and better methods for delivering the benefits of this form of brainwave modification. 
When you're having a hell of a day—good or bad—checking out for 10-15 minutes is revitalizing. Find a place where you can be alone (and definitely ditch the cell phone)—the attic, the bathroom, a quiet cafe, a big oak tree—and wipe the slate clean for a few minutes. Do whatever it is that relaxes you: Meditate, read a novel, sing or sip tea. It's crucial to take just a few minutes everyday to de-stress. It's not how much time you allot, but being consistent that's important.

Deemed as the “the most relaxing brainwave”, delta waves are at their most active when you’re not- they appear when you’re asleep and reduce your overall sense of awareness. Associated with the sub-conscious to unconscious parts of the mind, delta brainwaves are said to be the opening to non-physical states of reality. As a result, this brain state is most often seen while one is in very deep meditation or dreamless sleep.
Beta is the most common brain wave pattern: Beta brainwaves are produced when we are wide awake, alert, active and engaged in mental activity, usually involving more the rational, reality-oriented left hemisphere of our brain. When beta wave activity becomes very intense, our brain hemispheres become less synchronised. Beta state is required to function properly in your everyday life.
Although there is a general stress response pattern, there can be variations in the response according to the characteristics of the stressor (10). Individuals tend to respond differently based on the familiarity of the stressor. For example, the perceived level of stress and physiological response when giving a presentation to a group of work colleagues will likely be less than when presenting to an unfamiliar group. The stress response also varies depending on the level of perceived control one has over the stressor (10). If there is a way for one to actively cope with the stressor that is reasonable, then the individual usually perceives more control over the situation. Consider an individual who has to take a certification examination for work and has 6 months to prepare. He can adjust his schedule to accommodate study time. However, waiting for medical test results that show whether one has a serious illness does not allow a sense of control over the stressor, and the individual passively endures the stressor or may try to avoid the stressor. With this uncontrollable type of stressor, there is a more negative reaction with greater productions of cortisol, which can have damaging health effects because of the suppression of immune function (10).
Although most experts will tell you that people can get through the day without the production of Alpha brainwaves, that doesn’t mean there won’t be any repercussions. For people who have suppressed production of these brainwaves, they can end up developing anxiety disorders and other stress-related diseases, which can lead to the weakening of their immune system.
