Progressive muscle relaxation is a two-step process in which you systematically tense and relax different muscle groups in the body. With regular practice, it gives you an intimate familiarity with what tension €”as well as complete relaxation €”feels like in different parts of the body. This can help you react to the first signs of the muscular tension that accompanies stress. And as your body relaxes, so will your mind.

When your thoughts start to spin out of control during a stressful moment, stop and reframe your thinking. “By your choice of perspective, you direct how your body will respond—in fight or flight, or in creative choices and solution-based responses,” says Lauren E. Miller, stress relief and personal excellence expert and the author of 5 Minutes to Stress Relief. If you’re stressed about something you fear happening, such as “I’m not going to get this project done and then my boss will fire me,” think instead of what a great opportunity it is to show your boss you’re a hard worker. “Resist the urge to cast yourself as the main character in dramas that have not even occurred,” Miller says. Also, instead of asking why something is happening, ask what you can do to fix it. “Asking ‘why’ pitches you in an endless loop of questions, whereas asking ‘what’ sets you into problem-solving mode,” says Deborah Serani, PsyD, award-winning author of Living with Depression and a psychology professor at Adelphi University. “Moving forward instead of being lost in the circle of worries and “whys” helps to reduce stress.” Try these simple mindfulness stress relievers.
“I'm really enjoying the Brain Salon recordings. I was a huge fan of the BrainEv System and found the technology to be a cut above the competition. I often wished you guys would produce recordings for specific purposes, so I was very excited when I heard about the Brain Salon. I love using the Razor Sharp track, it instantly puts me into 'The Zone,' where I'm totally into whatever I'm doing... and do it incredibly well. I also use the Creativity track a lot when I'm doing something that requires lateral thinking. I'm super-excited that you guys went ahead and used the BrainEv technology to create tracks like these. I'd highly recommend anyone to check out the Brain Salon.”
Beta brainwaves are produced and associated with states where cognition, concentration and arousal are at their highest. These are commonly said to be at the peak of physical and mental activity. Unless a positive outlook is maintained then anxiousness, tension and paranoia can become issues. Beta is the common brainwave state for most adults in developed countries.
Well, I finally listened to “Equisync III” after listening to “Equisync I” & the “Equisync II” several times. Let me just say that this put me in another state of consciousness within 7 minutes(guessing) it was beautiful! I meditated throughout the entire 70 minute CD set! It didn’t feel like 70 minutes. I could feel energy in my neck, my solar plexus area and at the brow of my head! Definitely NOT for beginners!

The group proceeds to track down and catch Ultra Beasts across all four of Alola's islands. After the player catches the first, Nihilego, Anabel arranges for the player to keep the Ultra Beasts, rather than delivering them to the International Police where they would end up as research subjects. During each mission, Anabel's job is to protect nearby populated areas with the assistance of her Pokémon. As the missions continue, however, Anabel starts to show signs of fatigue. Apparently, the Ultra Beasts are being drawn to her strongly as a Faller and becoming extremely aggressive toward her, which is only exacerbated when there are multiple of them that can assail her simultaneously. In the last mission, Looker finally misdirects her away from the action so that she can recover her strength.
According to an American Psychological Association (APA) survey, more women than men (one in three) turn to comfort food such as ice cream and cookies to ease stress. It's common for women to deny themselves favorite foods because they're trying to lose weight. But under stress, the urge for them becomes even stronger. In fact, researchers at Montclair State University in New Jersey recently confirmed that dieters are more likely than non-dieters to overeat when under pressure, bingeing on the very same high-fat foods they normally try to avoid. The key is to not deprive yourself. Keep three or four healthy snacks on hand that you know you'll probably want--peanuts, if you like salty; string cheese, if you crave protein; a small piece of chocolate for something sweet--so you aren't tempted to binge.
It has been both a pleasure and an enlightening experience listening to the Equisync II CDs for the past month. As a 15 year stroke survivor, daily meditation has become a part of my life. Listening to these CDs reminds me of sitting alone in a forest during periods of rain, whether they be light, heavy, or in between. I am able to access my right hemisphere more readily and experience the feeling of nirvana that we all have within us. When I reach this point, my system reminds itself of all the compassion and connectedness we each have.

A high quality binaural beat MP3 inspired by the brainwave patterns of Zen meditators. A deep ambiance of strings with opera tones can be heard. This MP3 is inspired by the work of Maxwell Cade and his research with experienced Zen meditators. Cade noticed that this pattern emerged after deeper Zen meditations, and so this is often called the “afterglow of meditation.” Note: that this recording uses binaural beats. – headphones are required. Please remember to never listen to this music whilst driving or operating machinery of any kind.
By the end of just a few short days (3 or 4 of use), my constant “on edge” feeling completely dissipated. I had changed my lifestyle drastically to a very low-stress environment. All feelings of anxiety disappeared rapidly, but I was still experiencing something “physical.” I had trouble explaining it to anyone. I lashed out immediately at the slightest frustration. I tried to explain to those around me that it was something physically happening in my brain, but they were skeptical. Within less than a week of using the EOC cd’s, I noticed my tolerance level for dealing with people and situations had increased tremendously.
Proceedings of the 9th Conference on Interdisciplinary Musicology – CIM14. Berlin, Germany 2014 first group it increases, and for the second decreases. Experimental group did not fall asleep but maintained a relaxation state after the stimulus, while control group achieved unconscious relaxation but the effects did not hold. The STAI “State” indicated that stress increased after the stimulus for control group (see graph A1.2). 14. CONCLUSIONS • Delta (20-200) and theta (20-100) brainwaves are the ones that have greater amplitude (microvolts) in both groups. Results are clearly shown in graphs A1.5 and A1.10. Graph A1.5 Theta Graph A1.10 Delta • Higher frequency EEG waves such as beta waves have less amplitude. This happens because they are not synchronized and have more phase differences in both groups. • An increased alpha parameter is higher in the experimental group, which indicates that they achieved conscious relaxation. In contrast, the control group showed higher delta waves and presented signs of deep sleep during the experiment. Control group also possibly reached REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep halfway throughout the stimulus due theta waves presence in the EEG. • Beta waves are higher in the control group from s = 507 to s = 624 because of unexpected sounds in the stimulus (traffic noise appeared in the original recording). • Both stimuli induced relaxation, but it is important to point out that a person can relax without falling asleep. In this way the binaural stimulus worked better. • It is likely that the control group fell asleep with the nature sounds stimuli because lack of stimulation. • Contrary to what we expected, theta binaural waves didn’t induced FFR in experimental group, although they helped to achieve conscious relaxation. • Delta waves were higher in the experimental group during post-experiment measurements. This suggests that relaxation states were maintained with the absence of stimulus. • Presence of Alpha waves was reduced during deep sleep. This evidence is supported by the control group’s Delta values. • In the absence of stimuli, Delta wave values of the control group decreased, which means that relaxation effects did not prevail. • The effectiveness of an anxiolytic may be measured through the relaxation degree during stimulus and whether its effect endured or not. • For further evaluation of coherence [17] between brainwaves in both hemispheres and the ERP, the use of a 10-20 EEG system is recommended. • Post-experimental STAI “State” tests results are lower in the experimental group. This means that Theta binaural waves were a better anxiolytic than the stimuli (nature sounds) used in the control group. REFERENCES [1] Huang, T., & Charyton, C. (2008). Stress is a significant individual and public health problem that is associated with numerous physical and mental health concerns. It is estimated that between 75% and 90% of primary care physician visits are caused by stress-related illnesses (2). Cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, depression, anxiety, immune system suppression, headaches, back and neck pain, and sleep problems are some of the health problems associated with stress (4,8). These conditions are some of the most burdensome health problems in the United States based on health care costs, the number of people affected, and the impact on individual lives. Extreme levels of stress were reported by 22% of respondents from the 2011 Stress in America™ survey, and 39% reported that their level of stress had increased during the past year (3). More than 80% of the survey respondents at the WorldatWork Conference in 2012 reported that stress moderately or significantly contributed to their health care costs (6).

I just had to let you folks know how impressed I am with your Equisync CD’s, (Equisync I, Equisync II, & Equisync III). I just received the last two yesterday. I tried them both with amazing results. Especially the final CD, Equisync III. It creates a tone that is like a plane of sound that exists between the eyes all the way through your brain to the back of your head in the center. It is a tone, that if concentrated on purely, is the most amazing thing I have ever felt. I firmly believe it is some kind of door the the other side. It is like walking into a Lucid Dream. I am amazed many do not or know not about your technology and it’s wealth and value in understanding the self as well as our place in the Cosmos. I have recommended your product to others and will continue to do so. It is the first product, that has literally blown me away, and without the usual hype of products, such as these. It is it’s pureness, and it’s simplicity, that enables one to help oneself and others in this life. Using the CDs, at least initially, as almost entirely eradicated the intense pain I have felt for years. I have many forms of arthritis, all of which are degenerative, and incredibly intense. I have been able to work in my garden almost all day, without the usual restriction of pain and fatigue. I truly applaud you folks, you are definitely a Godsend….

Regarding split hemisphere isochronic tones. Think of this as two separate isochronic tones tracks playing independently of each other, one playing in one ear and the other one in the opposite ear. Better still, imagine someone playing and recording a drum beat at a rate of 5 taps per second (5Hz – 5 cycles per second). Then a separate recording of a drum beat is made at a rate of 10 taps per second (10 Hz). You then make an audio track where the left ear/channel hears the 5 drum beats recording and the right ear/channel hears the 10 beat recording. With headphones on, each ear can only hear each respective drum beat and not the other. So you are hearing two different beat recordings at the same time, but it’s different in each ear. A split hemisphere isochronic tones track works just the same. You hear two beats at the same time, not two tones as with binaural beats that create a single beat, but two different speeds of beats in each ear. This is what enables you to stimulate and influence each side of the brain with a different frequency of beat. Binaural beats can only stimulate and influence a whole brain effect using a single beat.

There is no single relaxation technique that is best for everyone. The right relaxation technique is the one that resonates with you, fits your lifestyle, and is able to focus your mind and interrupt your everyday thoughts to elicit the relaxation response. You may even find that alternating or combining different techniques provides the best results. How you react to stress may also influence the relaxation technique that works best for you:
A study by Tina Huang, PhD, and Christine Charyton, published in the September 2008 issue of the journal, Alternative Therapies examined the results of twenty previous studies measuring the effectiveness of brainwave entrainment for improvements in cognitive dysfunction and deficits, stress reduction, pain management, migraine and headache control, pre-menstrual syndrome, and behavioral difficulties, and all showed significant improvement in symptoms using entrainment techniques.
It is important to note that not all stress is bad. Everyone experiences a certain amount of stress on an almost daily basis, and it cannot be completely eliminated. Stress becomes a problem when too much is experienced, and it has a negative impact on behaviors, relationships, and health. The term “eustress” refers to positive stress that is associated with improved performance and productivity. “Distress” is negative stress that is associated with performance decrement and negative health consequences. The individual’s perception of the stressor and coping resources determine whether a situation is eustress or distress. College graduation is a stressor for most. The student who has a job or who has been accepted to a graduate program likely perceives the stress of graduation as eustress, whereas the student who has student loans and no immediate plans of a job or further education perceives distress.
Natural menopause relief is sought out by millions of women who suffer from the symptoms of menopause wreaking havoc on their bodies. Much of this havoc is caused by a diet filled with bad fats, too much protein, and a lack of nutrients. Eating healthily and exercising are your first steps to getting healthy. A diet filled with fruits and vegetables is filled with nearly all of the nutrients you need to be healthy and balanced. Yet, sometimes, we need a little bit of extra help. In this article, we’re going to talk about some herbal supplements that help balance out your hormones and make the symptoms of menopause much better.

There appeared to be some evidence that 10 Hz stimulation (alpha waves) improved anxiety, but it wasn’t statistically significant. A study that utilized a ramping format of alpha to theta to delta waves (over the course of 10 minutes) found a significant improvement in anxiety. In terms of long-term stress, there is evidence that alpha and beta stimulation improved measures of “competence” and “emotional exhaustion.”

This unique session works the opposite to most sessions. It attempts to to ‘dis-entrain’ the brain, breaking stuck thinking patterns and allowing a fresh way of thinking. The recording contains random and chaotic isochronic tones spanning 7.83 to 18 Hz, played over a background of gamma-embedded noise. Use this session to sit back and allow fresh ideas and new connections to form. Finishes at the illuminating14Hz sensorimotor rhythm frequency.
